General Services

The City of Regina provides a range of services to its residents, but prices have gone up.

Residents have voiced repeatedly that they want more transparency on what they are paying for, and why rates keep going up.

The city has been looking at major upgrades to the bus fleet. The transportation network needs a big overhaul. The fact it can take over an hour to get across the city by bus is unacceptable.

The lack of Paratransit accessibility is another issue that has been raised by residents. Those who are in need of this service are not always able to access it in a timely manner. Our fleet is not large enough to accommodate the need.

Reid will ensure that residents know what they are paying for.

There should be service transparency with:

  • Communicating the cost of services per household, instead of lumping the costs into the general taxes category.

  • Ensuring all communities have access to better and more efficient service. A priority challenge is making sure that it does not take over an hour to get across the city by bus.

  • Giving real updates on services that are in the works, and the costs associated with the updates.
